Pocono Sportscar travels to Summit Point for the FCA National Meet

This past weekend (6/13-6/15), Pocono Sportscar traveled to the Summit Point Motorsports park for the annual Ferrari Club of America (FCA) National Meet. This year was the 51st year for the FCA, and the event celebrated the Ferrari "Red Heads", which included the 250TR, the Testarossa, and the 512TR.

Pocono Sportscar provided track support for the five clients this past weekend. Mr. Roland Veit drove his #16 F430 Challenge car to a 1st place finish (in class, 2nd overall) in the Challenge car race held on 6/14.

The crew had never traveled to the Summit Point Motorsports Park prior to this event, but is very impressed with the track. While the track is relatively short and narrow, it seems like an excellent track for the drivers. The 2.0 miles circuit has 10 corners, and runs clockwise. There is some gradual elevation change throughout the track, and the backside of the track has an interesting chain of corners that rewards precision and rhythm. The circuit used for this event is known as the "Summit" circuit, and is the largest and fastest of the three circuits at Summit Point. The Pocono Sportscar crew looks forward to returning to the Summit Point Motorsports Park for future events.
